BIRDS ON THE WING

This year’s expedition is called Birds on the Wing.  Through our studies the students will investigate the characteristics of local and migratory birds. We will have a special focus on beaks, feathers, feet, eggs and nests.  The students will use the scientific method and learn how to identify, graph sighting patterns, demonstrate an understanding of the bird’s life cycle (a local bird they choose) and gain an understanding into the causes and conditions of bird migration.
